ThromboSLE is a diagnostic test developed to assess thrombosis risk in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus. It aims to improve patient outcomes by accurately identifying those at high risk for thrombotic complications.
Patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) are at high risk for thrombosis, a major and life-threatening complication of SLE and one of the main causes of death in SLE.
There is a need for the accurate identification of patients that are at highest risk, as in this group the risk/benefit ratio for anticoagulant prophylaxis is advantageous.
As in SLE thrombosis is caused by disease-specific mechanism, current testing methods fail to accurately assess thrombosis risk in SLE.
