This project focuses on creating a new heat exchanger for oil cooling in the transmission system of civil Tilt Rotor aircraft. It aims to enhance efficiency, reduce weight, and improve reliability compared to traditional designs by exploring various manufacturing technologies.
The overall objective of the project is to design, develop; manufacture and flight qualify a novel heat exchanger for oil cooling in the transmission system of a civil Tilt Rotor aircraft.
The proposed solution will outperform a conventional plate-fin heat exchanger in terms of efficiency, volume, weight, robustness, reliability and will fully integrate into the transmission systems architecture.
