This project aims to improve the accuracy of tire dynamic models to enhance vehicle performance. By studying the effects of rolling on tire behavior, it seeks to integrate experimental and numerical analyses for better predictions in automotive applications.
The increasing complexity and shorter development times of vehicles require more accurate and efficient simulation tools.
Already in the early phases of the vehicle development, a reliable prediction of the tire dynamic behavior is required to assess and optimize vehicle performances, such as, tire/road noise, handling, ride comfort, vehicle NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) and durability.
