This project investigates topological phases in ultracold atoms using a numerical method called Density Matrix Renormalization Group. By simulating these systems, the research aims to enhance our understanding of their properties and support experimental studies in the field of condensed matter physics.
The study of topological phases, which appear in the presence of a strong magnetic field or strong spin-orbit coupling, is a rapidly growing field which involves several fundamental questions and potential applications.
