This research explores the integration of topological phases with plasmonic nanostructures to enhance light manipulation at the nanoscale. It aims to develop new functionalities for plasmonic devices, which have applications in sensing and imaging technologies.
Materials that present plasmonic resonances feature the unique capability of confining light in nanometer-scale volumes.
Resonant metal nanostructures, such as gold or silver nanoparticles, support localized surface plasmon resonances upon light illumination.
