The project will investigate molecular junctions and will assess device platforms for compatibility with CMOS technology towards future applications of molecular electronics for memory technologies.
In a first step we will therefore investigate metal-molecule-metal junctions utilizing metals compatible with CMOS technology such as Pt and Pd as more stable electrodes for molecular electronics.
