This project investigates the impact of public transport in African cities to promote sustainable transport systems. It aims to define vehicle specifications and develop a research roadmap to support the revival of public transport after years of neglect.
The booming urban populations in African cities together with over 15 years of total neglect of the public transport sector have resulted in chaotic, un-sustainable and time- and money consuming transport systems.
