The TIGER Project focuses on improving sustainable logistics by enhancing railway services that connect European ports with inland areas. It aims to alleviate traffic congestion and optimize freight transport through innovative production concepts and infrastructure investments.
TIGER Project developed under the 7FP addresses the issues of promoting sustainable logistics introducing innovative railway services connecting the sea ports of the European Union with the Hinterland.
This is done with particular attention to the flows generated to/from the Far East and South East Asia, involving all European major Ports, suffering from traffic congestion.
