The project focuses on enhancing translational cancer research across Europe by linking funding programs in 19 countries. It aims to identify gaps in research funding, promote coordinated policies, and support multinational research initiatives to improve cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
Cancer is a worldwide health burden and a major public health challenge in Europe, responsible for 25% of all deaths; a situation expected to worsen with population ageing.
