The project aims to personalize treatment strategies for Type 2 diabetes by identifying distinct patient clusters based on their pathophysiology. It will explore how existing and new treatments can be tailored to target the specific needs of patients with varying insulin secretion and resistance.
Type 2 diabetes (T2D) is an escalating health problem of enormous proportions.
Current treatment strategies are unable to stop disease progression and prevent the devastating complications.
