TREAT-OA aims to improve the treatment and diagnosis of osteoarthritis by identifying genetic and biochemical markers associated with the disease. The project will leverage a large cohort of subjects to develop new diagnostic tools and therapeutic targets for effective management of osteoarthritis.
TREAT-OA will address the need for better treatment and diagnostics for osteoarthritis (OA) - the most common cause of disability in Europe.
Currently there are no drugs that can cure, reverse or halt the disease.
