This project aims to train early career researchers in translational science, focusing on the endothelium's role in severe diseases. It involves collaboration among leading academic institutions and industry partners to develop effective therapeutic strategies.
The rapid advance of biology is providing new insights into the causes of some of today’s most pressing medical problems as well as huge opportunities to develop and evaluate novel and more effective treatments.
The challenge is to exploit these advances effectively and this will require a new breed of translational scientist with expertise in a specific discipline coupled with a broad understanding of disease processes.
