This project focuses on developing new hybrid polymers with adjustable conductive and optical properties for industrial applications. By using specific boron clusters as doping agents, the project aims to enhance the performance of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) and poly(p-phenylene vinylene) materials.
The main goal of this proposed project is the synthesis of new hybrid π-conjugated polymers for industrial use, which conductive and optical properties could be fine tuneable by the proper anionic metallacarboranes as doping agents.
To achieve our goals two directions were chosen.
