This project aims to develop a proof-of-concept prototype of a wireless communication link based on ultra-high bit rate serial THz pulses. THz transmitters are known to be able to produce sub-picosecond pulses with frequency bandwidths in excess of several THz.
In principle, this makes THz pulses able to carry Tbit/s data.
