UltraDeepMood explores how human moods can be influenced by modifying brain circuits related to expectations using focused ultrasound stimulation. This non-invasive technique aims to enhance our understanding of mood disorders and could lead to new therapeutic approaches for improving mental health.

In extreme contexts, mood can become pathologically depressed as in mood disorders or dementia.
Recent studies have begun to suggest a mechanism for how expectations (and their violation) impact human moods.
