UNICELLSYS aims to quantitatively understand how unicellular organisms control growth and reproduction through external and internal signals. By integrating experimental data with mathematical models, it seeks to uncover fundamental biological principles.
The overall objective of UNICELLSYS is a quantitative understanding of fundamental characteristics of eukaryotic unicellular organism biology: how cell growth and proliferation are controlled and coordinated by extracellular and intrinsic stimuli.
