This project addresses fluid-structure interaction problems by developing a unified computational approach. It aims to improve the modeling of complex interactions in various applications, including biomedical and engineering fields, by enhancing the robustness and efficiency of simulations.
For many problems involving a fluid and a structure, decoupling of the two is not possible to accurately model the phenomenon at hand, instead the fluid-structure interaction (FSI) problem has to be solved as a coupled problem.
