UNIFY seeks to enhance telecommunications by integrating cloud computing with network infrastructure. This project aims to create a flexible and automated service creation platform that improves operational agility and supports the deployment of new services across the entire network.
Telecom providers struggle with low service flexibility, increasing complexity and related costs.
Although cloud computing and networking have been two very active fields of research, there is currently little integration between the vast networking assets and data centres of telecom providers.
