This research training project examines the evolving role of universities in a global knowledge economy, particularly in Europe and the Asia Pacific region. It aims to equip researchers with skills to analyze the impact of higher education reforms on economic organization.
The research training focuses on the substantive and theoretical challenges posed by universities’ new role in a global knowledge economy, and especially the contrast between developments in Europe and the Asia Pacific rim.
In recent years, massive effort has been put into reforming, managing and marketing universities in Europe and elsewhere in the world.
