UNPAG investigates universal gaps in linguistic paradigms, focusing on the absence of negated forms for quantifiers across languages. The project aims to understand why certain lexicalizations are missing and their implications for human cognition and communication.
Universal paradigmatic gaps are gaps in linguistic paradigms that appear across languages and across users of a given language.
As of yet, only very few gaps of this kind have been discussed in the literature.
