UP2DATE addresses the challenges of Over The Air Software Updates in critical Cyber-Physical Systems. It proposes a new software architecture focused on safety and security to enable dynamic updates while ensuring system availability during operation.
Mixed-Criticality Cyber-Physical Systems (MCCPS) deployed in critical domains like automotive and railway are starting to use Over The Air Software Updates (OTASU) for functionality improvement, bug fixing, and solving security vulnerabilities (among others).
