This project investigates the dynamic properties of DNA, particularly its photoprotective mechanism against ultraviolet radiation. By developing a new spectroscopy technique, it aims to understand how DNA dissipates energy to prevent damage, which is crucial for insights into related diseases.
Since its discovery, DNA, the biomolecule that encodes the information necessary for the replication of life, has been the object of a vast amount of studies.
