The VADER project trains researchers at the intersection of vaccine design and immune response understanding. By collaborating with industry and academia, it aims to expedite the development of effective vaccines for infectious diseases, particularly targeting impoverished communities.
The successful development of new vaccines depends on the interaction of industrial expertise for vaccine design and engineering with academic understanding of the mechanisms of protection afforded by the immune responses they elicit.
