This project explores how values are embedded in technological systems and how they can change over time. It aims to develop a theory of value change in sociotechnical systems, focusing on energy and robotics, to improve design strategies that accommodate evolving values.
One of the key insights from the philosophy of technology is that technological artifacts and sociotechnical systems are not value neutral but supports or inhibits certain values.
