Vatorex AG has developed an eco-friendly solution to combat Varroa mites in honeybee hives using hyperthermia. This innovative system heats brood combs directly, effectively killing the mites while keeping the bees unharmed, thus reducing reliance on chemical treatments.
Currently, honeybee mortality rates range from 5% to almost 30% depending on the country and the year, being some of the main causes the Varroa mite.
