Vitestro has developed the VD-1, an autonomous blood drawing device that performs the entire venipuncture process without human intervention. This technology aims to alleviate healthcare personnel shortages and standardize blood collection procedures in laboratories and hospitals.
Vitestro has created the first fully-autonomous device that draws blood from patients.
Our solution, called VD-1, performs the whole venipuncture procedure, from vein detection to bandage application, without any human intervention.
We have fully developed our technology in-house and protected it with seven patents.
More than 1,000 volunteers have tried our solution: the user acceptance, first-time success rate, and hemolysis rate are comparable to those measured using human nurses.
