VExOP aims to develop a sustainable method for decommissioning offshore wind monopile foundations using controlled vibrations to reduce soil friction. This innovative approach seeks to facilitate the extraction of large monopiles, promoting recycling and minimizing environmental impact.
The offshore wind industry is expanding rapidly, with over 100 GW of installed capacity expected in the EU by 2050.
