The VoiiComm project aims to enhance communication protocols for automated vehicles by developing a framework to evaluate the value of information in traffic. This will help manage data flow effectively, improving safety and efficiency in connected transportation systems.
By fusing the sensing information provided by the automated vehicles (AVs), an accurate and real-time representation of the highly dynamic traffic environment can be formed and disseminated to all traffic participants, to enable a variety of safety and efficiency improving applications and push the transition towards connected and automated transportation. A powerful wireless network plays a key role in this vision.
