WaBioNaPhy aims to develop new biofungicides using agricultural waste, essential oils, and fungal metabolites to combat Phytophthora diseases in citrus crops. The project seeks to create environmentally friendly alternatives to chemical pesticides, enhancing sustainability in citrus production.
In the Mediterranean areas, Citrus is an important agricultural crop, with about a production of 10 million tons/year.
