This project explores how sexual selection interacts with coevolution between cuckoos and their host weaverbirds. It aims to understand how these interactions influence the evolution of host defenses against brood parasitism.

Coevolution between closely associated species contributes substantially to the diversity of life.
Yet little is known about how coevolutionary pressures between different species interact with selection from intraspecific social interactions.
