This project analyzes consumer reactions to product-harm crises by examining a large database of purchase data from three European countries. It aims to provide insights into how negative events influence purchasing decisions and to offer recommendations for companies on managing crises effectively.
Product-harm crises are prevalent in today’s marketplace.
Notable examples include contaminated coca-cola in several European countries and salmonella poisoning in Brinta’s breakfast porridge.
These crises can have a tremendous impact on society as well as on the affected companies.
