This project develops a robotic system for wind turbine blade maintenance, enabling repairs in adverse weather conditions. The robot performs inspections and repairs autonomously, significantly reducing costs and increasing operational days compared to traditional methods.
** CHALLENGEWind turbines are placed in high wind areas, and repairs can only be done at low wind speed, low humidity, low wave height and with no risk of lightning, leaving only 25% of the days in the repair season.
