Summary

The WINDTRUST project aims to enhance the reliability and economic viability of multi-megawatt wind turbines by developing advanced components such as rotor blades, power converters, and control systems. It will test these innovations on a 2MW prototype turbine, with implications for larger and offshore turbines.

Objective

The objective of the WINDTRUST project is to demonstrate the technical and economic feasibility of innovative and more reliable solutions for multi MW wind turbines in order to improve the competitiveness of wind energy technologies.
