This project aims to evaluate and optimize wing stub box designs using advanced simulation techniques. It integrates a comprehensive modeling process with optimization algorithms to assess performance and select the best design based on multiple criteria.
The activities encompassed in this proposal, aimed to provide a trade-off study between a reference wing stub box design and alternative advanced designs of the same structure incorporating new technologies, will exploit a methodological
approach, which will allow to efficiently solve the simulation problem, by tackling all possible issues related to management of the geometries, definition of a high-quality mesh, application of specific composite material behavior laws,
