This project focuses on developing semiconductor nanowires and heterostructures to enhance phonon scattering. The goal is to reduce thermal conductivity while maintaining electrical properties, which can significantly impact energy conversion technologies.
Semiconducting nanowires and in particular their heterostructures could be of paramount importance for energy conversion.
These structures hold great potential to provide a means of manipulating phonons by preserving the electronic properties.
