WiseFeed aims to enhance the sustainability of fish farming by improving the understanding of fish digestion and feed utilization. The project involves developing models and software to optimize feeding strategies and assess the impact of nutrients on fish growth, particularly under changing climate conditions.
An important gap in continued sustainability of fish farming is the lack of a proper understanding on digestive function and aquafeeds utilization.
The WiseFeed project will focus on this gap using an integrative approach and considering selected key fish species in culture, the feed composition and feeding protocols.
