The WorldWideBassani project analyzes the correspondence of Italian author Giorgio Bassani with notable intellectuals from 1948 to 1979. This study aims to shed light on Bassani's reflections on Jewish persecution and the construction of a European cultural identity through these previously unpublished letters.
WorldWideBassani project proposes to study and analyze, for the first time, the extraordinary material represented by the letters exchanged by Giorgio Bassani with foreign intellectuals, between 1948 e 1979, preserved in the Giorgio Bassani Heirs Archive in Paris.
Thanks to my previous studies on Bassani's works the heirs have authorized me to study and publish the correspondence.
