This research aims to compile and analyze Greek and Latin inscriptions from Roman Sicily, focusing on their historical context and stylistic evolution. By studying these inscriptions, the project seeks to understand their meanings and the relationship between text and imagery in Roman honorary monuments.
The main purpose of this research is the realization of a corpus of Greek and Latin epigraphic documents carved on stone in Sicily under the Roman Empire (post 27 BC – 650 AD), making use of a new interdisciplinary approach.
