This project develops a new MRI technique called cross-term spatiotemporal encoding (xSPEN) that allows for rapid imaging in challenging areas affected by metal and air. It aims to improve diagnostic capabilities in radiology by providing non-invasive insights into conditions near implants and tumors.
This project seeks to exploit cross-term spatiotemporal encoding (xSPEN), a single-shot MRI modality that we introduced last year as part of our efforts to develop new ultrafast techniques in nuclear magnetic resonance.
Besides delivering single-shot images in tens of milliseconds, xSPEN exhibits an unprecedented resilience to field inhomogeneities enabling it to access regions that have so far never been scanned by single-scan MRI.
