This project focuses on developing a new animal model for Alzheimer's disease by transplanting human stem cell-derived neurons into mice. The goal is to understand the disease's progression and identify potential drug targets, ultimately aiming to enhance brain function and explore cell transplantation therapies.
Understanding therapeutic opportunities in Alzheimer’s disease (AD), the most common form of progressive neurodegeneration, is limited due to lack of animal models that replicate the disease’s consecutive stages.
