The XeRo project focuses on developing and optimizing metamaterials to mitigate railway-induced ground vibrations. By investigating the interaction between trains, tracks, and soil, the project aims to enhance understanding and application of these materials for effective vibration control in high-speed rail systems.
With the rapid development of high speed rail system, ground vibration mitigation solutions are desperately needed.
As a novel vibration mitigation method, metamaterial can theoretically yield excellent performance in shielding dynamic waves in broad frequency bands.
