This project explores the philosophical and literary context of early Indian YogAcAra Buddhism, focusing on the concept of 'loka' or the external world. It aims to provide a historical analysis that enhances understanding of the school's core doctrines.
Current scholarship on the philosophy of early Indian YogAcAra Buddhism (4th-5th centuries CE) has come under criticism for its de-contextualized understanding of the school's worldview.
