This project aims to develop a minimally invasive liquid biopsy method for diagnosing liver disorders, replacing traditional liver biopsies. By analyzing cell-free DNA from blood samples, it seeks to differentiate between autoimmune hepatitis and other liver diseases based on gene activity.
The identification of the causative agent and mechanism of liver disorders is essential for effective treatment.
The diagnostic challenge is differentiating autoimmune hepatitis, drug induced liver damage, and other non-viral causes of liver disease.
