The CoPAN project investigates the role and mechanisms of emotional expressions in humans and great apes. It aims to develop a virtual reality training tool to enhance understanding of these complex emotions for both the general public and clinical populations.
The ERC starting grant project CoPAN (804582) is an innovative, interdisciplinary cross-boundary project.
In the project, we study the function, underlying neurophysiological mechanisms, development and evolution of emotional expressions, which has shown us that emotions play a pivotal role in daily life in humans and great apes alike.
