The project has developed a new immunoassay technology called Enzyme-Linked DNA Displacement (ELIDIS) that simplifies the detection of biomolecules. ELIDIS retains the sensitivity of traditional methods while eliminating complex steps, allowing for portable testing using common electronic devices.
Since its introduction more than 50 years ago, ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) remains one of the most widely used technologies for research, drug discovery and diagnosis.
