This project seeks to develop a targeted drug delivery system for treating non-alcoholic fatty liver disease using cannabinoid receptor blockers. The innovative approach aims to minimize side effects while effectively addressing obesity-related liver conditions.
Obesity is a catalyst for numerous conditions; the most notable is non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), for which currently no drug therapy has been approved by the FDA and EMA for its treatment.
