NEUROSHIELD aims to improve the quality of life for Parkinson's disease patients by developing a novel small molecule that targets neuroinflammation through an unexplored pathway. This approach seeks to provide a safer and more effective treatment option compared to existing non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
Parkinson’s disease (PD) affects 8.5 million individuals worldwide according to WHO estimates. PD remains cureless and treatments are based on administration of dopamine precursors or analogues.
