OPTOMICS focuses on transforming type 2 diabetes care by integrating molecular profiling, advanced non-invasive imaging, and artificial intelligence. The project aims to create a digital twin model to improve disease prediction, patient stratification, and prevention strategies.
Diabetes has emerged as a global pandemic affecting more than 420 million people worldwide, a number expected to further rise in the next decades.
