The PepVerse project focuses on developing a platform to profile protein/peptide interactions at scale, facilitating the design of peptide-based drugs. It aims to generate crucial binding data for therapeutic targets lacking effective oral medications, thereby advancing drug discovery efforts in this domain.
Peptide-based drugs offer distinct advantages over existing molecular therapeutics, such as their ability to engage targets that have proven challenging for small molecules, and their capability to penetrate cells and modulate intracellular targets, which conventional biologics cannot achieve.
