This project focuses on creating and testing surgical gloves embedded with sensors that can detect various mechanical parameters. These gloves utilize a non-toxic nanocomposite for tactile sensing, enabling applications in surgical environments to enhance precision and safety.
We seek to develop and validate a sensorised surgical gloves.
The sensors are based on a multifunctional nanocomposite which is nontoxic and can serve as ultrathin tactile sensors, integrated directly on the fingertips of surgical gloves.
These sensorised gloves enable mechanical energy harvesting, force sensing and assessment of several other mechanical parameters from fingertips.
